A student who wants a defence career shouldn't be left to work it out alone. Someone needs to explain how the exam runs, what gets tested, and how selection works. Starting that early saves months of confusion later.

School doesn't stop while a student prepares for the NDA, so the two have to share the week. A written timetable does most of the work. Some evenings go to revision, some to practice questions, and the rest to homework. Time management and accuracy improve because they get used every day.

Visit the centre before deciding. Watch a class if they'll allow it. Ask what the tests look like and who answers doubts after hours. See the classrooms and the hostel with your own eyes. Brochures all sound the same, and a short visit tells you far more.

It takes time. A few months at least, sometimes more, before a student feels sure of themselves and the daily routine stops being a struggle. Starting at the right stage means those months are available. Concepts can be learned slowly, questions practised until they look familiar, and the weak spots fixed before the exam gets close.
