Looking for luxury cars in Kenya? Eleven Motors in Nairobi sells inspected Prado, Lexus, Volvo, Mercedes and Porsche imports from KES 3.1M, with test drives and custom imports.

Buying a luxury car in Nairobi isn't the same as buying one in London or Dubai. Our roads are part of the deal. A pothole on a side street in Lavington, the crawl along Thika Road after work, a long weekend drive to Naivasha with the kids asleep in the back. Whatever you pick has to cope with all of it and still look right parked outside the office.

That's the gap Eleven Motors, a dealer and importer based in Nairobi, is trying to fill.

The stock changes often, but a few names keep coming up. The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is usually the first one buyers ask about, and it's easy to see why. It sits high, it's tough, and it's comfortable enough that nobody complains on a long trip. Lexus RX and LX models come next, popular with people who want a quiet, well finished cabin and don't care to explain themselves. The Volvo XC90 gets plenty of attention from parents, mostly for the safety record. If you lean German, there's the Mercedes-Benz GLC and E-Class. And for anyone who wants an SUV but misses driving something fast, there's the Porsche Macan.

The cars come from Japan, the UK and Australia. Some are already parked at the showroom. If you've got something specific in mind, a certain colour, a certain year, Eleven Motors will import it for you.

Anyone who has tried bringing in a car alone knows how it can go. The mileage looks too good to be true. The service book has pages missing. Registration takes months longer than anybody promised. Eleven Motors says it deals with this by inspecting every car before purchase, backing its cars with low-mileage guarantees, and doing the import paperwork itself, so the buyer isn't stuck queueing at offices.

Prices are listed up front and start at KES 3.1 million. That's a relief in a market where so many ads still say "call for price" and leave you guessing. You can see the number first, work out your budget at home, and turn up knowing what you can afford.

There are two places to see the cars: near Two Rivers (Southern Office Tower), and on Kiambu Road. Choose whichever is closer to your home or your office. Then go and sit in one. Photos hide a lot. They won't tell you how the driver's seat feels after twenty minutes, or how loud the cabin gets on the highway at 100 km/h. A test drive does.

Executives tend to care about this more than most. A company director replacing a car every few years wants something reliable that arrives on time and doesn't need babysitting. Families moving up from a sedan want space and peace of mind. And then there are the enthusiasts, the ones who've been watching one particular model for months, waiting for the right one to show up.

Whichever group you're in, the next step is simple. Browse the current stock online, book a test drive, or ask the team to start a custom import.
