City of Dreams Sri Lanka will host Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka from 7 to 11 October 2026, in partnership with the Academy of Design (AOD) and DIMO. The event brings designers, buyers, media and creative talent from South Asia and beyond to Colombo, supporting the ambition to position the city as a leading regional destination for design and fashion.

The partnership combines City of Dreams Sri Lanka’s hospitality, dining, entertainment and event facilities with one of the region’s established fashion platforms.

Conceptualised and presented by AOD and powered by DIMO since its launch in 2017, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka enters its ninth edition in 2026. The event is part of the international Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week network, which includes cities such as Berlin, Tbilisi and Prague.

AOD Founder and Chairperson Linda Speldewinde said the partnership aims to position Colombo as a fashion destination that attracts international designers, buyers and media. Designers from India, Bangladesh and Bhutan are expected to showcase their work, while international media, including Vogue Italia, are among those travelling to Colombo for the event.

Fashion, Hospitality and Lifestyle

City of Dreams Sri Lanka provides a central destination for runway shows, accommodation, dining and entertainment throughout the five-day event. The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Lounge will serve as a social hub, including the invitation-only launch of She’s Mercedes in Sri Lanka on 10 October, conceptualised by AOD and powered by DIMO.

The 2026 programme features five runway formats, including The Colombo Edit, Future Craft and Destination Island, showcasing South Asian talent through a distinctly Sri Lankan perspective.

The event aims to strengthen Colombo’s international profile, encourage connections between regional and global creative industries, and generate opportunities for the city’s hospitality and tourism sectors.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Sri Lanka 2026, by AOD and DIMO, runs from 7 to 11 October at City of Dreams Sri Lanka. The ninth edition also builds momentum towards the event’s tenth anniversary in October 2027.
