FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Oxford, UK, 20 October 2026
A Fast Formula error rarely announces itself politely. It waits. It passes a quick read, sits quietly in the system, and then surfaces in a pay run, in front of every employee it touches.
That risk is why MKSK Consulting built FormulaX, the first AI Fast Formula generator, created by MKSK to generate, explain and validate Oracle Fast Formulas for Oracle Cloud HCM. The point is not only speed. The point is checking the logic before payroll does.
Fast Formulas decide how Oracle Cloud HCM calculates pay, absence accruals, benefits eligibility and compensation. Many of them were written years ago, by people who have moved on. When a formula needs to change, teams often spend the first days just working out what it does. When a new formula is written under deadline pressure, small mistakes in structure or logic can slip through to testing, or further.
FormulaX attacks both problems. Existing formulas can be explained line by line, in plain language, so reviewers know exactly what they are changing. New formulas are generated from a plain English description of the rule, after clarifying questions about timing, effective dates and exceptions. Structure, syntax and result variables are validated before the formula is used, and the output includes the reasoning and test cases, so a second pair of eyes can verify it quickly.
The risk areas are familiar ones: overtime and shift premium rules, absence accrual and eligibility bands, and bonus and commission thresholds. FormulaX supports Payroll, Absence and Eligibility, Benefits, Workforce Compensation, Validation, and Custom Business Rules.
In live demonstrations, formula development time fell by 60 to 80 per cent, with turnaround cut from days to hours, and functional consultants produced formulas that previously waited for a technical developer. Validation stays in human hands. FormulaX makes that human check faster and better informed.
Mohammed Khan, Director, Oracle Division at MKSK Consulting, said: "Payroll is the most trust sensitive process HR owns. A formula error is never just a defect, it is someone's pay. We built FormulaX so the checking happens early, while there is still time to fix the logic calmly."
FormulaX sits in the MKSK X Cloud Platform alongside ScheduleX for Oracle Cloud HCM. It is available now, and MKSK's demonstration offer is practical: bring one Fast Formula you would normally hand to a developer, and see it generated and validated live. https://www.mksk.co.uk/services/ai-fast-formula-generator/ or
