Pinner Green Dental has added a missing teeth page to its website, and this time the prices are on it. Implants from £2,800, crown included. Bridges from £795 per unit. Dentures from £795.

The practice is at 8 Pinner Green, close to Pinner Underground station on the Metropolitan line. Patients come from Harrow, Northwood, Ruislip and Eastcote as well as Pinner. Placing more than one implant earns a discount. Finance is offered through Medenta, subject to affordability, age and status, with a minimum spend.

The page puts the three treatments next to each other. An implant means minor surgery under local anaesthetic, then three to six months before the final crown goes on. A bridge needs no surgery and takes two visits over two to three weeks, but the teeth on either side have to be prepared, and that change is permanent. Dentures involve four to eight weeks of fittings. People who find a standard denture moves too much can ask about implant-retained versions.

Dentists at the practice say gaps are often left alone because they are at the back, or because the patient has simply got used to them. The page points out what that can cost later. Bone shrinks once the root has gone, and a patient who comes back years afterwards may need a graft before an implant is possible. Sometimes the honest answer is a bridge or a denture, and the practice says it will say so.

For implant cases, the first appointment includes a CBCT scan done on site rather than at a separate referral centre. Photographs and X-rays come first. The patient then takes home a written plan with a cost for every realistic option and is not asked to decide on the day. Implants are reviewed at three months, six months and then yearly. Bridges and dentures are looked at during routine check-ups.

Dr Ravi Ganatra leads implant work. He holds a BDS (Hons) and an MSc in Implantology, is registered with the General Dental Council (114994), and has placed implants at Pinner Green since 2005.
